CBI Safe Trade project: admission to the Regulatory Sandbox

CBI has been admitted to the Regulatory Sandbox established by the MEF and managed in coordination with the Bank of Italy, Consob and MEF, with the CBI Safe Trade project.

The project initiative presented by CBI aims to mitigate the risk arising from the fraudulent use of invoices for the disbursement of credit to the detriment of Intermediaries, in addition to increasing stability and efficiency of the financial sector.

• increased efficiency of the banking and financial system
• improvement of credit disbursement processes related to invoice advances
• reduction in fraud and credit risk with consequent benefits in favor of Intermediaries in the financial industry

CORPORATE AND SME

• Possibility of simplified access to credit, thanks to the streamlining of internal processes implemented by Credit Intermediaries

ECOSYSTEM

• the database will be fed by participating Intermediaries, indicating the relevant invoice for each advance, the status of the advance and the amount.
• The database can also be fed through external systems connection in order to retrieve additional information pertaining to invoices under verification.
