In 2020, CBI embarked on an artistic journey commissioning a young artist to transfer the company’s values into graphic art.
The artist created 15 unique works that encapsulate the company in all its facets, enabling a vibrant fusion of two very different worlds.
The artworks described below are displayed in the offices of the CBI headquarters.

Iconic
March 2021
This piece is a manifesto of CBI’s values – Courage, Excellence, Determination, Foresight, Willingness, Cooperation – which is why it features the organisation’s signature colours. In the background, the artist has depicted each value in a particular font inspired by the Internet. The company name is in the foreground, its design encapsulating CBI’s magnitude and certitude.

Day & Night
March 2021
The symbol of the skyscraper is seen here once again, this time more stylised and reflecting the cyber world more closely. Using vivid pop colours against a dark background, the artist evokes a unique, constantly evolving universe. This same concept inspired the title, “Day & Night”.

Everywhere for everyone
March 2021
In this piece we see a girl in the city, fascinated by the beams of coloured energy that flow around the buildings above her. Vivid, upbeat colours are featured, while the fast, vibrant brushstrokes create a similar sense of energy. The artist set out to portray one of CBI’s core values: a willingness to cooperate with everyone at any time, as reflected in the brilliant coloured beams symbolising the transfer of information around our cities.

Perspective of innovation
March 2021
In this work, a skyscraper is seen from below, enveloped in pulsating coloured energy. The main colour palette and the different hues stem from CBI’s signature colours. The artist has chosen this motif to symbolise the innovation and progress seen throughout CBI’s history.

Network Centricity
March 2021
This piece is set in an imaginary network made up of luminous grids, with the CBI logo as the sun shining over this universe. Here the artist places CBI at the centre of the world and its system of interconnecting relationships.

The geometric scheme
March 2021
This work is designed to look like a diagram, with clear references to pop art, seen not only in its structure, but in the combination of vivid colours. The artist has drawn inspiration from pop art, comparing its principle of “instant art” to CBI’s rapid, concrete reactions to an ever-changing market.

Cohesion
March 2021
Here the artist once again takes up the skyscraper as a symbol of innovation. She depicts two facing skyscrapers, opposite and diverse yet still in harmony. The colour palette takes the observer into a twilight world. Through the harmonious differences in the subject matter, underlined by the floodlit road in the middle, the artist seeks to capture one of CBI’s core values: coherence.

The energy flow
March 2021
In a piece inspired by the world of abstract art, a great flow of undefined energy is symbolised by bright, vivid colours. In the centre, the CBI logo is the energy source released onto the canvas. The artist imagined being inside the Web, witnessing the network of information created and released by the nucleus, CBI.

The perfect sphere
March 2021
Here, CBI is interpreted as a perfect sphere within the network. This world seems complex at first sight, and the artist has chosen to portray it in paler colours than in her other work; yet CBI stands out as a simple, spherical shape in its constant search for perfection.

Foresight
March 2021
“Lungimiranza” (Foresight) is inspired by Milan, seen clearly in the city’s ancient and modern landmarks depicted in CBI colours. Foresight is one of the company’s core values, and the artist has chosen to represent it through a city synonymous with finance: Milan, the embodiment of growth, modernity, and, of course, foresight.

Belonging
March 2021
“Appartenenza” (Belonging) is inspired by Rome and its monuments both ancient and modern. The artist has worked with the company’s signature colours, the darker shades of purple lending greater depth and emotion to the piece. CBI was founded in Rome, and through the Eternal City the artist symbolises one of the team’s most noble and fundamental values, inspiration for the title: Belonging.

Connection
March 2021
The theme of this piece is the meeting of two hands; they come from two different worlds, but together they are harmonious. Shades of blue are used in the left hand, a colour the artist associates with the virtual world of the Web, while the right hand is painted in the warmer, more neutral shades of the real world. The artist depicts the union between the world of the Web and the physical, human world. The hands meet and connect as easily and spontaneously as CBI connects the different members of its community. In the background, the CBI Globe logo indicates the growth that stems from the new age of open banking.

Cerebral cortex of the CBI planet
March 2021
Looking at this piece, we are instantly projected beyond the atmosphere, witnessing the worldwide growth and expansion of the CBI network as symbolised by planet Earth. The artist highlights Italy in one of CBI’s corporate colours, underlining its role as the source of this energy.

We are CBI
March 2021
Central to this piece are two faces that have come to life via the Web. In the background, shades of purple - used by the artist to symbolise the Web in other works - blend with orange, CBI’s signature colour. The artist aims to portray that behind the innovative, electronic universe lies a strong, close-knit team that strives to make its work available via a network open to all.

The wall
March 2021
This piece depicts a wall featuring quotes and phrases from members of the CBI network. The artist recreates her first encounter with CBI, when she was struck by the special attitude of the entire team. The wall is an unfiltered reflection of everyday office life.
